Lylla Goheen, RP(Q)
Have you ever felt like you're speaking a different language from your partner, having the same arguments over and over with no resolution? Or perhaps you're carrying the weight of anxiety, self-doubt, or the challenges of a chronic illness, leaving you feeling lonely and disconnected. These feelings are often rooted in emotional patterns and old coping strategies that once helped you survive. My goal is to create a compassionate and non-judgmental space where we can work together to understand their purpose and gently reshape them so they no longer hold you back. I believe therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. For couples, I use principles from the Gottman Method and Sex Therapy to help you build a stronger foundation of friendship, manage conflict, and rediscover intimacy. For individuals, I draw from a range of evidence-based models including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Compassion Therapy, and somatic approaches. My goal is to help you move from a place of hopelessness to empowerment, equipped with tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and clarity so you can feel like yourself again.
