Carly Bowie, MSW, RSW
I started my personal therapy journey during a significant life transition. At the time, I was carrying a lot of fear and uncertainty about the future. Having a space where I could slow down and process those emotions helped me feel more anchored, safe, and connected to myself.
Later on, I found myself drawn back to therapy from a place of curiosity and self-exploration. I wanted to understand my patterns, my past, and the parts of myself that were quietly shaping how I moved through the world.
That deeper work invited me to reconnect with myself in new ways—to peel back layers and live with greater authenticity and intention.
These personal experiences continue to shape how I hold space for others with a deep understanding of how vulnerable and powerful this work can be.
As a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience, I support individuals, couples, and families through life’s complex emotional challenges. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and begin to heal.
My approach is gentle but deep, rooted in the belief that your pain makes sense and that you don’t have to carry it alone. I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities including Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Compassionate Inquiry. I also integrate mind–body approaches and am currently training to become a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP).
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings including primary healthcare, addiction and mental health services, non-profits, and private practice.
These experiences have shaped my understanding of how trauma, stress, loss, and relationship challenges impact our lives—and how each of us holds an innate capacity to heal.
With the right support, and by resourcing ourselves in the present, we can begin to tend to old wounds, create space for our authentic selves, and gently orient toward joy.

Therapy with me is not about rushing to fix things. It’s about building trust, becoming curious, and creating space to gently explore the parts of you that are ready to be seen.
If any part of this resonates with you, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
